EPDM rubber tiles are impact-absorbing, water-permeable and offer the ideal combination of safety, comfort and play value. EPDM stands for Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer. This is a synthetic rubber known for its high durability, elasticity and excellent resistance to various weather conditions.
Strict safety standards apply to playground environments in Europe. These standards specify which surfaces are suitable for playgrounds. Aslon® EPDM rubber tiles comply with all applicable PAH regulations and REACH guidelines, making them a safe choice for any playground environment.
Different Types of EPDM Rubber Tiles
EPDM rubber tiles are ideal for creating a safe surface in playgrounds, schoolyards and underneath play equipment. Our range includes two types of EPDM rubber tiles. Depending on the desired appearance, colour retention and available budget, you can choose between these two options:
These rubber tiles consist of a base layer made from recycled SBR rubber and a top layer made from recycled (coated) EPDM. This means the tile is made entirely from recycled materials.
The base colour of recycled EPDM is black. To give the tiles an attractive appearance, the red, grey and green versions are coated. This makes it possible to create a colourful playground. Please note that the black base colour may gradually become slightly visible over time due to wear.

These rubber tiles consist of a base layer made from recycled SBR rubber and a top layer made from new EPDM rubber (virgin EPDM). This high-quality synthetic rubber is colourfast, UV-resistant and resistant to a wide range of weather conditions. As a result, the tiles retain their colour for many years, even under intensive use.
Aslon® EPDM virgin tiles are available in a range of RAL colours. Thanks to their vibrant and colourfast finish, these tiles contribute to an attractive and cheerful playground environment.
