FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does a mortise-and-tenon joint work?
Each rubber tile is designed with four holes on two sides. These holes form the basis for the peg/hole connection. By placing four plastic pins in these holes, the tiles are firmly connected to each other, resulting in a stable position. This keeps the tiles firmly in place, even when used intensively.
In addition, the pin/hole connection is demountable, meaning that the tiles can be easily dismantled and moved if necessary. This is useful for temporary installations or during renovations.
Another important advantage is the anti-theft function. The pin/hole connection makes it difficult for unauthorised people to easily remove or steal the tiles. This is particularly valuable in public locations.
How should rubber tile be cleaned?
Preserving rubber floors requires regular cleaning and maintenance.
Daily Cleaning:
Remove loose dirt with a soft broom or a hoover with a soft brush. Regular sweeping helps prevent dirt from accumulating and penetrating the pores of the rubber.
Weekly Cleaning:
Mix a mild detergent (pH neutral) with water in a bucket. Use a ratio as indicated on the detergent.
Dip a soft scrub brush into the solution and gently scrub over the surface of the rubber tiles to loosen dirt and stains.
Wipe the tiles with clean water to thoroughly remove dirt and all soap residue.
Avoid aggressive scrubbing or (coarse) scrubbers as this can damage the surface of the rubber.
Note: If you still want to use a scrubbing machine at your own risk, use a machine that is also suitable for rubber surfaces. Read the manual of the machine for this.
